Hi IMSA fans!

With the holidays in full swing, it's been a pretty quiet week on the IMSA news front. There have been a couple of small pieces of news, but nothing that can't wait until next week! One thing I have grown to realize this year is just how much IMSA's support series are underrated. Now, it's difficult to sit down and commit the time to watch each and every race over the course of the season, but the offseason is a great time to catch up on the racing from last season! I wanted to try and encourage more people to check out IMSA's various support series, and that led to the stretch of videos that we're in the middle of right now, where I cover everything you need to know about them!

As I recover from Turkey Brain this week, I wanted to tell you something about each of the series covered so far that I love!

Lamborghini Super Trofeo

Let's start with today's video covering the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series! Honestly, coming into this season, it wasn't one that I was a big fan of. Most of the racing would be pretty spread out due to the AM driver focus of the series, and there wouldn't be much to really get invested in as a race would go on. This year, something clicked, which is impressive considering the top class was a runaway for Formal and Marcelli! Yes, there was some good racing in the top class, but you need to go see these cars in person. Get to a track and hear the V10 engines roar by in a pack, and you will gain a new appreciation for them. At Watkins Glen this year, it was the second time I've seen/heard them in person, and I am definitely looking forward to seeing them again next year!

​ Porsche Carrera Cup The second series I covered is the Porsche Carrera Cup. You frequently find this series supporting IMSA as well as F1 at their North American rounds. The Carrera Cup has been a fixture on grids around the world for years and for good reason! In recent years, we have seen some young stars come through the ranks and dominate some of the championships. While it makes for more difficult storylines to follow during the season, it does make it fun to follow their careers after they graduate to other series. Go back and watch some of their races from this year and appreciate how great Riley Dickenson was; he's going to go on to do impressive things. Also, make sure to follow along with the series next year to see who will emerge as the next star of tomorrow! ​

Mazda MX-5 Cup

Finally, we have my personal favorite series, the MX-5 Cup! Any racing fan needs to be watching this series, and I make a point to watch every race live. They're only 45-minute races, and the entire season can easily be binged in a weekend! The racing you'll see is second to none, bumper to bumper, door to door action that continues from green to checkered. Sure, there are some silly incidents that occur from time to time, but the incredible racing more than makes up for that. If you're able to make it out to one of their races this season, then just do it, you won't regret it! If not, then the IMSA.tv broadcast will do just fine, but find a way to follow this series!

There are a couple more videos to come this week about IMSA’s support series and hopefully you’ve enjoyed the mini series so far! I really wanted to work some content about them into the offseason and hopefully get fans to appretiate and follow them a bit more closely!
